The “Son of Man” FaceMagritte created a series of paintings where objects appear in front of faces. It is a play on perspective, we see a man in a brick room, his body full of bubbles. All he sees is the sweet nectar of the beer gods. This raises the question of what is real about the beer, because we normally think about the size of the beer as it appears to us in the picture, but to the man it is much bigger, so it calls the property of the beer into doubt. Get it?
